What limitations do you place on yourself? Is every day a free-for-all regarding food and drink? Or do you choose to curb what you ingest on a daily, weekly or monthly basis? Often times, restriction equals reward, and the results of one's dedication can manifest into a sharper mind and physique. The bevy of advantages gained from temporarily or completely abstaining from life's more seductive enticements are some of the most unique and exclusive within North American culture, seldom seen or heard about. The mental clarity accrued from not smoking or drinking substances that can and will dilute one's mind is priceless, and tends to give the astute individual a sense of prowess and superiority over his peers that continuously fall victim to the trappings of drugs and alcohol. That said, the occasional cold one, earned following a day's work, can serve as a necessary downer to set the weary at ease. Sometimes there's nothing better than a beer after the battle, but the danger within the partaking lies with the being that tends to want more. Whether the indulgence be cookies or cakes, to practice self control is to practice self mastery. Sometimes the most difficult workout is to deny oneself of immediate raptures and to exercise restraint and moderation. When you're of sound mind, you're more likely to make truly righteous decisions, the kinds of which that can ultimately lead to peeled abdominals and peaked biceps, gifting you with profound confidence and peace of mind. The morning that follows a dry evening will deliver coherence for your workout and motivate you to keep your eyes and mind on the prize: your dream physique, your apex ambition. There are 168 hours in a week, 56 of which should be spent sleeping and allowing one's body to rest and recover. What will you do with the remaining 112? Many of us claim to not have enough time to squeeze in a 30-60 minute workout on a weekly basis, counteracting a myriad of potential injuries and diseases, but how can that be possible when the majority work for 40 hours or less? There remain 72 hours within the week to earn life's delights. Become inflexible when it comes to taking care of your health. Be the authoritarian of your own existence and put fitness, well-being and robustness first. Where there are rules there is control.
